Condition:
Both oils relined many years ago, he - canvas a little saggy, paint rather dirty with fine but stable craquelure showing through much of the paint, dents and scuffing to the right hand side near 3 o'clock, further light scuffing scattered elsewhere, she with slightly saggy canvas, dirty, fine craquelure showing particularly through skin tones, one small flaked loss of paint near the music stand and a large L shaped tear near the lower right corner, no sign of any signatures, housed in 18th century giltwood frames which are now a little tatty, typed labels giving details of the sitters verso.
