of plain rectangular form with two fielded panelled doors, brass loop handles and bracket feet, the interior fitted with an arrangement of pigeon holes and five drawers named for Pelling, Defries & Co Nabobs Papers, India Letters, Antonio D Souza & Co and Lawrence Bowden & Co.,

Condition:
Overall of a rich reddish brown mahogany tone, the top a little lighter with some surface scratches, scuff marks to the left side and a small bit of moulding missing from the top of the right side, later but old lock fitted with working key, interior divisions look original, there may well of been a large base drawer at the bottom, short named drawers have original handles and locks.
