A Chinese bamboo ‘Zhong Kui’ group, 19th century,
the figure of Zhong Kui, the demon slayer, holding a fan with the smaller figures of demons attempting to steal his sword amid the rockwork beneath him,

Condition:
There is a small chip to the front edge of the base and the section to the left of this has a slight crack around it. There is a loss to the right side of the fan he is holding and the top of his hat. slight area of old worm damage to the left side of Zhong Kui’s chest and to the waistband of the right hand figure of a Demon. There are occasional fine age cracks to the bamboo, otherwise in good condition.
