Numbers 23, 25 and 30 of the 5 of Austen works in Bentley’s ‘standard novel series’ missing numbers 27 (Mansfield Park) and 28 (Northanger Abbey & Persuasion). Overall minorly rubbed, though heavier in places. Spine to Sense and Sensibility more worn with part of panel missing, Pride and Prejudice also slightly more worn on spine. Joints lightly worn but good. Inside good with intermittent light spotting, slightly heavier to illustrated titles and frontispieces, though still light. Lower marginal stain to Sense and Sensibility, no loss. One guard between frontis and illus title in Sense and Sensibility only. There are no half titles present in Bentley Standard Novels
