Condition:
Overall in very good condition, looks to have been restored within the past ten years or so, all of the brass and silver work is clean and bright, case of a good even rich dark mahogany brown tone with a little dirt showing in places, fabric lining to the fretwork panel on the hood is distressed, movement looks clean and complete but not tested for timekeeping, gilt mounts to the columns of the hood a little oxidised, a vertical split running through the centre of the box base, comes with case key, brass faced lead pendulum and two lead weights. Recorded as working at Lowgate, Hull circa 1780-1840. Height minus finial 230 cms
