Condition:
Overall in fair to good condition, the gilding is a little rubbed down with a reddish undercolour now showing through most of the raised areas. An old horizontal crack runs beneath the top scallop crest where it looks like the whole of the top has been broken off and reattached at some point. Cracks showing in line with the timber joins beneath at the top and bottom corners, one small loss of gesso from the very tip of the mirror frame. Plate heavily oxidised. Label verso for eight Victorian Carver Gilder and FrameMaker; Robert Wood.
