A Chinese soapstone group of Guanyin and child, probably Kangxi period,
with remants of polychrome decoration, seated on a rocky outcrop, on a rocky shaped face, the cross with the creamy coloured stone with some natural veining,

Condition:
There is natural veining and inclusions to the stone. The polychrome decoration and gilding is is worn in places. There are some patches of rust colour to the back of the figure generally in good condition with somewhere to the base.
