A Victorian walnut cased set of twelve pairs of mother of pearl handled dessert eaters, the blades and forks engraved with assorted birds, insects and foliage, Frederick Elkington, Birmingham, 1888, box 29.3cm.

Box by Elkington & Co. Two of the fork handles each have a small chip and one other fork stem and tine section is bent out of shape slightly. Blades and tines in good order, commensurate with age and mild use. Overall condition is otherwise good. Hallmarks clear. Box has a few bumps and scuffs to the lid and edges and there is a hairline to the veneer on the lid.
