Blade scratched and oxidised, bronze hilt mounts tarnished and binding to hilt old and a little worn, see handwritten paper label which looks to be 50 years old or more, mounts to hilt slightly loose, scabbard very tatty with the base broken away and missing and the mounts oxidised, traces of gilding to the woodwork.

Provenance - Alfred Theodore Arber-Cooke (c.1910-1993); thence by family descent. Arber-Cooke lived in Carmarthenshire, Wales and was an avid collector of European & Asian works of art and an author of the History of Llandovery. He was collecting from the 1940s to the 1980s.
