oil on canvas relined some years ago, canvas with a slight outward bulge, a number of small dents and scuffs in the paint particularly in the red background, one of which starts to go throught the canvas, a larger dent near his shoulder which does penetrate through the canvas, otherwise slight stretcher marks showing, no sign of any signature, frame may be the original but has been overpainted in gold with some cracking at the corners.
