watercolour and bodycolour
'Duck Decoy in Lincolnshire 1797'
inscribed verso
20.5 x 34.5cm
Estimate £150-200
Painted on what looks to have been a blueish toned paper laid onto card, some fading particularly near the top right corner and probably some light rubbing along with minor dirt spots and fox marks but overall looks to be in fair to good condition, apparently unsigned, under glass in a 19th century gilt gesso frame which has small chips and losses, details of the work inscribed verso along with a small label saying Trellis Room relating to The Trellis Room in Mersham-Le-Hatch until the 5th Lord and Lady Brabourne went to India in 1933.
