A 19th century mahogany drop dial railway wall clock, c.1840, enamelled Roman dial signed Joyce, Whitchurch, height 20in.

Case of good rich dark reddish tone, suffering from a number of dents, scuffs and scratches particularly to the trunk, dial is dirty and faded to a yellowish tone with spots showing in line with pillars, single fusee movement with rectangular plate looks to be in good clean working order, comes with a pendulum but not tested for timekeeping, reverse of the case has an oval LMS plaque numbered 10397, comes with a later winding key. Dial has been repainted.
Provenance - purchased from a shop in Honiton around 25 years ago.
