A 19th century French bronze mantel clock, modelled as Cronos holding an ormolu scythe, the drum movement with serpent bezel and silvered Roman dial, on a Sienna marble plinth, height 17.5in.

Overall in honest untouched condition, main figure has a dark brown to blackish patination with some rubbing on the raised extremities, scythe may well be a later replacement but looks appropriate, dial in good clean condition, movement not tested for timekeeping. Plinth possibly later but in good order. Bezel is 10.7cm outside and 8.6cm inside diameter.
