Lot 366 , A 19th century Dieppe ivory wall mirror, W.1ft 10.5in. H.2ft 10in.
A 19th century Dieppe ivory wall mirror, of arched rectangular form with oval plate, applied with numerous carvings, crested with a coat of arms and the motto 'POVR.Y.PARVENIR', cherubs, shields and oak leaf motifs, W.1ft 10.5in. H.2ft 10in.
Estimate £700-1,000
Overall in very good clean condition, some of the applied carved ivories are slightly loose with one or two having lost their fixing pins but overall looks to be complete but for the loss of a few pins and one oak leaf near the lower right cherub, plate is old and probably original with some scuffing and speckling to the silvering.
