Oil on original canvas which remains tight, one patched hole showing in the wall above the outstretched hand of the singer, otherwise slightly shiny varnish is rather dirty with some white mould scattered across it although this does brush off fairly easily, signed lower right, housed in probably the original highly ornate gilt carved wood frame, inscribed August 1917 verso.
