A late George III parcel gilt silver and ivory square mourning locket, opening to reveal an ivory panel on the left, carved in relief with the bust of a gentleman, the right panel with engraved inscription, 'Charles Carr Morton, Obt.20 May, 1819, At 45 taken for his daughter Marion and given her by himself D? 1818', 39mm, gross 25.1 grams.

Outside of locket very tarnished and there is visible wear to the gilding on the back. Some scratches to the ivory panel and there is a hairline crack to the top left of the panel.
