A fine Victorian scratch built model of a static steam engine, in brass and copper with a faux brick painted wood plinth, the fitted mahogany box inscribed in pencil 'This box was made by W? Roach & given to G. Chapman / It contains model engine made by G. Chapman 1888', with working taps and piston etc.

Condition - not tested or used for some time, grubby, the brass and copper is tarnished, the boiler has solder repairs, the flywheel rubs slightly on the side of the plinth when turned, there are two pipes exiting the boiler which have no attachments, piston is loose on its mount. box 24cm wide
