An Indian dagger pesh kabz, 18th century, slender T-section blade 28cms of finely watered steel engraved, armoury inscription, silver covered hilt, ivory grips with ear-shaped pommel, sheath with watered steel top mount and pierced frieze of birds, gilt copper bottom mount, 44cms overall.
Condition: dagger in good condition with excellent watered pattern, gilding to bottom mount worn, some discolouration to the ivory but essentially very good condition, all parts tight with nothing loose, a number 996 has been scratched into the top of the blade on one side, otherwise excellent, sits snugly in the sheath which has wear to the mounts.
