A set of five Japanese late Meiji period Hinamatsuri lacquered wood and fabric female dolls and five similar male dolls, all kneeling with arms outstretched, a carved and painted wood figure of a curate pig and a Kutani pottery figure of a seated woman
Condition:
- female figures - all in good condition to heads, hands and figures, some of the heads are loose, costumes are good but some are a little faded, height 12 - 19cm
- male dolls - with some wear to the heads, one with loss to top of head, another with crack across top of head, hands look good although not as well carved as the female dolls, looks like they have been made to be holding something, costumes original but a little faded, comes with two stands bearing label for The Hamburger Puppenmuseum and a Christie's lot number 110.
- curate pig with heavy wear to paint, height 20cm
- pottery figure with some rubbing to hair, otherwise good, height 14cm
