Box looks to be English, in that it is an English lock. Box is made from fine burr walnut with brass mounts and name plaque to the top of F.W. Blake. Both pistols in good condition, our opinion is that they are probably Continental, they are stamped to one side with an oval KLG over a star and numbered 2355 below the barrels. Niello work in good condition and overall in very good condition with locks working and triggers dropping down when fully cocked. Small copper and brass powder flask in good order. Internal barrel diameter 1.5cm approx. Escutcheon to box is missing and there is no key.

Descriptions provided in both printed and on-line catalogue formats do not include condition reports. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging. Interested bidders are strongly encouraged to request a condition report on any lots upon which they intend to bid, prior to placing a bid.
