The tortoiseshell lid is cracked in two places. From the inside of the lid there are also five chips the the tortoiseshell, one in each corner and one to one side and where one of the cracks is there is a bruised area around the pique inlay. Two of the tortoiseshell supports have come loose, both are present but damaged. The remaining two are in situ but one is also damaged. There is a tiny crack to the tortoiseshell in one corner of the back panel. The front right foot is protruding downwards (bent), therefore does not stand true on a flat surface. Hallmarks clear.
