An early 20th century French gilt brass quarter-repeating carriage clock, striking on two gongs, with enamelled Roman dial and part silvered corinthian column case, H.7in.

ALL STRIKING IS SLIGHTLY OUT OF SYNC WITH THE HANDS. QUARTERS CHIME AS ONE, TWO, THREE. HOURS AND REPEAT AS USUAL.
Overall case in very good condition with a high state of gilding and polish, a few minute pit marks and very fine scratches but overall very good, silvering to the handle slightly oxidised, very slight wear to the repeat button, dial has small t-shaped crack running in the lower right corner just about visible above the bevelling, hour hand slightly oxidised, glass and movement all look to be in very good condition, movement going but not tested for timekeeping. Label below for the Clocks Clinic Ltd dated December 2015. No inscriptions or numbering to the movement or backplate.
