Oil on canvas relined 30 to 40 years ago or more, canvas remains tight, paint a little dull and rathter dirty, little sign of any craquelure just a slight note of it in the thickest paler tones to her forehead, housed in an old gilt gesso frame which has a few small losses and numerous cracks in the plaster, label to the top for James Bourlet & Sons, label across the stretcher for The Graphic Magazine giving the title and saying it was published January 9th 18...
