Oil on canvas relined many years ago, canvas remains tight, paint looks a little dirty with some fine but stable craquelure throughout, monogrammed PW over Roma and a date which is somewhat indistinct, looks like 1845, to the base of the well on the right, housed in possibly the original gilt gesso frame which has knocks and chipping around the edges, and some overpainting. Comes for sale from a private collection.
