A Chinese export ivory brise fan, late 18th century, pierced and carved in low relief with immortals, demons and dragons amid clouds and floating pavilions, L. 26.4cm, later display case

All of this sticks and guards are present, the 9th stick from the left has some slight losses to the vertical ribs, the 11th stick from the right has small losses to some of the vertical ribs and the very centre again has some small losses to vertical ribs, there is some light yellowish staining in places, mostly visible on the underside but there are no repairs and the fan needs a new ribbon to hold the sticks in place properly, comes complete with a rococo revival gilt and composite frame, the case has been opened up so that the fan can be inspected properly.
