Two small Japanese decorative metal boxes with hinged covers, one of shaped square form in silvered metal and brass, the top applied with a circular plaque of figures (signed to back), the other of shaped rectangular form in brass and copper, applied with birds and foliage to top and sides

The rectangular box has wear to the patina and discolouration to the exterior, the interior is bent slightly out of shape. The other box has rusty discolouration to the underside. The base moves around and rattles when shaken. There is also glue residue around the circular insert. Both pieces have light surface scratches as well as other minor imperfections.
