Oil on canvas cleaned and relined many years ago. Canvas remains tight, paint good with no sign of any craquelure but rather dirty particularly down the right side where there are a number of brown splodged marks, signed lower right, housed in an old and possibly original gilt gesso frame which is in good order, traces of ink inscriptions to the top of the central stretcher, Arthur Tooth & Sons label verso with number 4094 and title, a further hand inscribed label referring to the catalogue raisonne to the right.
