A Staffordshire porcelain figure of a leopard and a similar figure of a cub, c.1835-50, possibly Lloyd of Shelton, the former on a shaped mound base and the cub a canted rectangular base, both highlighted in gilt, H. 7.7cm and 4.2cm

A similarly modelled pair of leopards, figure 148 in Rice's book, appear on shaped bases matching that of the Lloyd of Shelton figure of a lion, figure 144, which is also being offered in this sale.
The leopard has restoration to both ears, there are some occasional fine crazing lines to the base, there is a fine crack around the shin of its left hind leg. The figure of a lion cub possibly has restoration to the very tip of its tail and some minor glaze imperfections. Both have some wear to the gilding on the bases, otherwise in reasonable condition.
