Attributed to Jan Baptiste de Jonghe (1785-1824), oil on canvas, Cattle in a wooded landscape, 72 x 86cm
Condition: Oil on canvas cleaned and relined 10 - 20 years ago, canvas remains tight, a little craquelure showing over the backs of the crackle and in the trees, top left corner looks heavily retouched, no doubt there are other areas of retouching throughout, housed in a 19th century gilt gesso frame with an attribution to F Overbeck, Jonghe attribution on a typed label verso.
