A 1920's Louis Vuitton travelling trunk, with orange yellow covering and brass studded brown leather banding, the interior with original removeable tray, un-numbered label for Louis Vuitton Paris 70 Champs-Élysées, Nice, Lille and London, width 44in. depth 22in. height 14in.

Original canvas covering is discoloured and heavily scuffed with dirt marks and some losses holes and scratches to the lid, tan leather banding throughout is very dirty and scuffed with some small areas that look to have been rodent chewed, all metal catches are present but now rather dull finish, the original leather strap is present but the tip of the strap is broken away and missing, no key present, internally the quilting within the lid is original but discoloured, damp stained and with the small dividers of the quilting all hanging loose, the tray appears to retain all of its fabric strapping although again this is discoloured and dirty, the missing tip of the leather strap is inside the trunk, further down the lining to the base has numerous damp stains and is torn to one side, label is at the back right corner of the lid, lock plate is stamped with number 048141, underside has the original wooden slatting and castors all with wear and rubbing, overall this is an original trunk with quite heavy wear from use over many years.
