Gifted to him by his sons Paul & Barry Ryan from their Chinese & Japanese collection. Paul & Barry Ryan were Pop Stars from the 1960s known for hit song Eloise their mother Marion Ryan famous Chat Show host & Singer from the 1950s.
This vase was inherited by Mr Brian Sapherson & My Sister Jennifer Ann Sapherson from there Fathers Estate in 1987 who was Mr Frederick Lloyd George Sapherson who was a reputable Antiques Dealer working from the early 1950s.
Jennifer has recollection from living with her father that it was gifted to him with other pieces over time from her half-brothers, his sons, moderate Chinese & Japanese collection.
They were Paul & Barry Ryan Pop Stars from the 1960s Known for hit song Eloise & other hit singles & albums, who adopted their mothers stage name who was Marion Ryan the famous Chat Show host & Singer from the 1950s
History for your information is to advise you that My Sister Jenifer Ann Sapherson has a good recollection of this piece along with other oriental pieces Being in my father's possession when she was 13 years old in 1971, she is now 60.
He told her it was a gift in his interest along with other pieces from his sons Paul & Barry Ryan.
From what we have worked out he was probably gifted this item along with others during the height of their musical career during the late 1960s.
It was probably obtained with other pieces for their collection over time from potential reputable London auction houses as they frequented London continually around this time.
