Oil on canvas with an old relining from 20 - 30 years ago or more, canvas now a little saggy, paint clean with in the main a fine but stable craquelure running throughout the paint, signs of retouching in the top left corner and down the left hand side though there may be retouching elsewhere, no obvious signs of any major damage, old but not period giltwood frame in fair order with attribution plaque to the artist, old typed label verso giving details of the work, remnant of an Exhibition label dated 1847, hand inscribed label, further Exhibition label looks to relate to an Irish Exhibition and a trace perhaps of a Christie's stencil number.
