A pair of late George II embossed silver candlesticks, by William Tuite, with inverted pear shaped stems and decorated with fruit, flowers and shells, London, 1758, height 28.2cm, sconces unmarked, weighted.

Sconces unmarked and may well not be original. The decoration on both sticks is very tired in general and may well be masking some old repairs. There are more visible repairs to both sticks on the base of one and the sconce area on the other, but as mentioned before, there may be more repairs within the decoration. Hallmarks on the top of each base and exhibit some minor rubbing
