A late 17th century Italian walnut side table, with later oak inset top, the frieze drawer centred with a lions mask and brass ring handle flanked by matching appliques, on spiral turned legs with stretcher, W.2ft 6in. D.1ft 6in. H.2ft 3in.

Oak top panel is rubbed and has two splits running from left to right, may well be a later replacement, moulded sides look original and show rubbing commensurate with age, overall the piece is of a slightly faded mid dullish brown tone, frieze drawer a little lighter than elsewhere, drawer is oak lined and has the original lions mask ring handle, barley twist legs show rubbing to the fronts particularly on the right side, and traces of old worm holes along with other dents and scuffs, H stretcher similarly showing signs of age but looks original, block feet may well have had further feet omitting below them but they are no longer present.
