Lot 43 , A vernis mantu music box

A late 19th century Swiss musical box, with printed card panels of 18th century figures in landscapes, 4in.

Fine cracking in the varnish which is painted over all of these panels, some oxidisation to all of the visible silver coloured edges, internal panels in good order, comes with a brass bird shaped key, movement is going, an additional small brass key also comes with it but does not appear to be original.
