A Chinese archaic bronze ritual vessel, Eastern Zhou/Warring States, of pear shape, cast in relief with a band of taotie masks and cicada shaped lappets, h. 28cm base panel lacking

The bronze is lacking its base panel, it is not completely clear which way up the vessel would stand, there is a small section of one rim lacking and then the larger rim has a large broken out missing section of the band, the malachite encrustation is of an olive green / brown tone, one of the rims is slightly dented inward otherwise in reasonable condition.
