A Chinese bronze and silver wire inlaid gui censer, 17th/18th century, decorated with a band of archaistic taotie masks, the zoomorphic handles also with silver wire inlay, inlaid silver wire two character mark to the base, width 12cm, shallow dent to foot

There is a dent to the rim on one side with a very slight flat faceted area and a minor undulation to the rim, just below this on one of the silver inlay bands there is a single silver wire on one of the bands missing which is a horizontal line otherwise other minor dents and small marks to the surface of the body and rim, the foot also has a dent indentation to it with a slight bevel but the vessel stands flat, also on the inside of the rim is an inset repair or join which may be in the manufacture to the circular foot, weight 550grams
