Longchamp/Horse. A glass mascot by René Lalique, introduced on 12/6/1929, No.1152A, in clear and satin glass, signed moulded 'R.LALIQUE' to one side of the neck and 'FRANCE' to the other, Marcilhac no.1152A, p.502. Weiner p.46. A rare edition of the 'double mane' design that had a short production run of just three months that finished on 10/9/1929, 12cm.
Estimate £3,000-4,000

There are a couple of minute chips at the top of the mane of the horse and some typical tiny bubble inclusions to the glass, it is possible that the base has been repolished as there is very little overhang to the base at the back beneath the mane, otherwise in good condition.
