A mid 19th century French bronze and ormolu portico clock, with silvered dial and a countwheel movement signed F.Pons, height 25in.

Ormolu of high quality and in the main with a matted finish, bronze work equally with a dull finish, dial looks original with some rubbing and oxidisation, pendulum shows oxidisation to the steel bars of the bi-metallic columns, Pons countwheel movement looks in need of some attention, lacks a bell, left hand winding hold resists winding, right hand hole does wind but movement does not run. No key present.
