Largest of the chairs shield back, all original paint finish, some wear and darkening of the tone of the timber, slight rubbing to the top fronts of the arms, caning a little saggy, height of seat 45cm, overall height of chair 3ft 5in. width 1ft 11in., only painted to the front and sides not to the back.
Shield back chair without arms - paint looks original, satinwood is of a dark slightly dirty looking tone, where the flowers in the vase splat meet the cresting rail there is now a split showing where the timbers were joined and equally so where the cresting rail meets the top supports at the back, painting is to the front and sides but not the back, seat is upholstered in rather discoloured fabric, height of seat 19 inches, height of chair overall 3ft 2in., frame is good and solid
Final chair - rather dark tone to the satinwood, paint looks original, cresting rail showing slight gaps where it joins the uprights, painted to the front and sides but not the back, upholstered seats now rather dirty and discoloured, seat height 18 inches, chair height 3ft 1in, frame is solid.
