A Chinese underglaze blue and copper red brush pot, late 19th century, painted with the figure of Zhong Kui running and a sprig of prunus and rockwork, height 14.5cm

There are a few small firing cracks which are overglazed on the brush pot and a few of them around the very edge of the rim, another one that is slightly curved and on the side of the rim and finally on the circular inset under the base there is a firing crack going around there just in the glaze which does not go through the porcelain body, otherwise in good condition with no restoration chips or cracks.
