A Japanese ivory figure of a bijin, Meiji period, the figure holding a book and a bunch of flowers, engraved two character signature to a rectangular tablet with a seal mark beneath, height 18.2cm, slight repairs

There are some fine age cracks to the ivory on the head and back of the figure. The ribbon on the figure's left hip has been cleanly broken off and re-glued with some excess glue around the area, otherwise in reasonable condition.
