A late 19th century German mahogany cuckoo clock, of architectural form, the cuckoo appearing beneath a roofed canopy, the 5 inch silvered and gilt foliate etched Roman dial with blued spade hands and moulded sight ring, the two train fusee movement with wooden plate, anchor escapement and countwheel strike sounding the quarters and hours on two two pipes and a coiled steel gong, old label to the back of case J. Sermin Late Winterhalder and Crenet Watch and Clockmaker, Sheffield, height 45.5cm

Case: Top lacks gallery and finials. Front doors over hatch lacking. Lower section of frieze moulding lacking. Left side base moulding lacking.

Dial: Some tarnishing to silvering. Hands good.

Movement: Going train functions. Strike train gut line is broken, but train appears to be otherwise functional. It will require an overhaul.
