Oil on canvas relined within the past 20 - 30 years or so, canvas now show some pronounced undulation with cracquelure throughout the paint and some paint starting to lift and flake away particularly in the darker areas over the sitters shoulder and above the sitters head, looks to also have had fairly extensive retouching throughout, housed in re-gilt period carved wood frame.
