James W Ferguson (1916-1963)
Little is known about Ferguson, yet his works often appear on the art market - almost exclusively landscape views around south west Scotland. He exhibited regularly at the Royal Glasgow Institute of Art, of which which he was a member, and he lived for many years in Glasgow. He also painted an unusual portrait of an aging S J Peploe, which is currently for sale at £5,500.
