A mid 19th century French porcelain mounted ormolu mantel clock, Henry Marc, Paris, the foliate scroll breakfront case with bleu celeste ground panels, raised on a gilt base, beneath a dome, the two train spring driven movement with anchor escapement and rack strike to a bell, clock 38cm

The case is brightly gilt and in good order apart from some slight spotting to the left hand side, the porcelain panels are in good order with just some small losses to the enamelled jewelling, the giltwood base has some wear to the extremities but is otherwise in fair condition, the velvet top is worn and sun-bleached, the dial is in good condition, with just some minor wear to the gilt borders of the numeral plaques and some losses to the jewelling, the movement is polished, clean and functions, it may benefit from a service, the pendulum suspension is currently of brocot type but is probably a replacement mostly likely having originally been silk suspension, the ebonised base has a number of shrinkage cracks and some wear to the finish but is otherwise in fair condition, the dome lacks the rope border but is otherwise uncracked with no damage.
