An early 19th century Uzbekistan Suzani, embroidered on narrow panels of handwoven linen, using Kanda Khayon stitch, designed in a directional pattern of carnations, hyacinths and classical boteh symbols in brown ochre, red, blue and green, backed with printed cotton and silk stripe edging, possibly part of a dowry, 146cm x 100cm

Faded with scattered old stitched repairs to small holes and short splits. Both long edges are frayed.
