An unusual Chinese sgraffito-decorated dish, Guangxu mark and probably of the period, the interior incised and picked out in black pigment with pavilions in a mountainous river landscape scene, four character inscription upper left, the underside border painted in enamel colour with fruiting pomegranate vines, bamboo sprigs and butterflies on a cobalt blue ground, diameter 24.5cm

There is some slight wear to the gilding around the rim and there is minor manufacturing imperfections to the glaze otherwise in good condition with no restoration, chips or cracks.
