A silver mounted ivory snuff mull, English, dated 1748 the lid with a silver plaque engraved with the Crewe-Milne crest over a coronet and motto 'Turpia Nec Rogo Nec Facio Rogata', dated 1748, 2 7/8in.

There are two large splits and one small split to the ivory body. There are two small splits to the ivory on the lid. There are three interior splits to the ivory and a circular split to the base (visible from both sides). Engraving to the silver appliques on the lid a little tired.
