Three toothpick cases, French, English and Irish, 18th - 19th century, the first, French or English, c.1780, ivory with gold piqué point decoration reading I'Amitie [Friendship], 3 1/8in., the second A.J. Strachan, London, 1824, engine-turned gold, 2 3/8in., the third Irish, c.1825, of oblong form, gold-mounted bog oak, engraved with an Erse inscription and applied with a shamrock set with foiled crystals, 3 7/8in.
